Montessori N' Such does not offer "exchanges" per se as are offered by your local retail store. If you wish to return an item and buy another, there are two transactions involved: a return, and a new order.
Items You Wish to Return
With the exception of defective and damaged items (see below), any item that a customer does not want may be returned for a credit or refund provided that Montessori N' Such is notified within 7 days of receipt of the order by the customer. The customer is responsible for paying the cost of shipping by traceable means to return the goods to Montessori N' Such.
Please note that if a particular product meets its intended design and quality goals, it is not defective. If you are not satisfied with a product, you may return it at your own expense, but we will only reimburse shipping costs (in either direction) if the product fails to meet its design and quality goals.
Defective Items and Items Damaged During Shipment to You
If an item is damaged during shipment, or is otherwise received by you in a damaged state, Montessori N' Such must be notified within 7 days of receipt of the order. Our customer service will determine in consultation with you the best means to rectify the problem. If we ask you to return the goods at your expense, and the goods are deemed to be defective, we will reimburse you for your shipping expense as well as the price you paid for the goods themselves.
All returns, for damaged merchandise or otherwise, require a Returned Material Authorization (RMA), which may be obtained only by calling our Customer Service at 800.287.1985. (Do not attempt to notify us by email as we need to determine the specific problem and give you appropriate instructions to resolve the matter.)
SHORTAGES AND DAMAGED GOODS. Please inspect your entire order immediately upon receipt and record all missing or damaged items so that all discrepancies can be reported at the same time. Claims for merchandise shortage or damaged goods must be made within 7 days of receipt of shipment. Defective items will either be replaced or credit will be given, the choice of which is solely at our discretion. Replacements will only be shipped to the U.S. destination specified in the original order. Absolutely no replacements will be shipped to an overseas destination. For items we deem, in our sole discretion, to be defective, we will reimburse return shipping charges provided our return instructions are followed.
UNDAMAGED ITEMS FOR RETURN. The purchaser may return for credit or refund goods that have been received provided that they contact us within 7 days of receipt of the goods. Items must be returned with their original product packaging and placed in a larger sturdy box with adequate packaging to ensure safe return. The customer is responsible for paying the cost of shipping by traceable means to return the goods to Montessori N' Such.
Returns, except for damaged goods, may be subject to a 20% restocking fee which may be applied at our discretion.
We do not issue call tags. The customer is responsible for arranging shipping via traceable means for all returns. We strongly recommend that you do not return items through the U.S. Postal Service as they may not be reliably delivered to our warehouse.

You should purchase insurance from your shipping agent, as we will not be responsible for damage to items that you return that arises from your handling, inadequate packing, or loss or mishandling by the carrier you choose.
