5 Little Pumpkins is a fun song that many preschool classrooms sing during the fall! This is just a play on this song. Each pumpkin contains a vowel card. Children will take the 15 short vowel halloween objects and sort them into the Jack- O-Lantern with the correct short vowel sound. Young children will be drawn to this language halloween work.
This kit includes:
- 1 medium tray
- 5 Jack-O-Lantern plastic pumpkins
- 5 vowel laminated cards
- 15 objects (3 for each vowel sound)
- Children will practice shorting object by short vowel sound (a, e, i, o, and u)
- Extensions to this activity could include spelling short vowel halloween objects
