Fall into Autumn

Happy Autumn!

The nights are getting colder and pumpkin spice is seemingly ... everywhere. Fall is here and we are excited to jump into the season of apples, pumpkins and leaves.
This time of year is a great time to explore apples in the classroom. From apple tasting and apple stamping to apple cutting and making apple sauce, there are a variety of opportunities you can bring into your classroom this fall.

An easy way to connect your students to their natural world is through the study of botany. Now is the perfect time to invite your students to learn how to identify trees in their environment.

Leaf puzzles help children learn the different shapes leave can occur in while this leaf three part card set connects children to the trees they commonly see around their school.

If children are really interested in learning about trees, this bark three part card set can help children successfully identify a tree by its bark.
The beginning of the school year also brings a lot of new little ones into the classroom. Make sure your practical life area is ready for them.
  • Leaf sorting is a great early school year activity that helps children develop their fine motor skills
  • As you teach children about leaves and trees, include this beautiful leaf puzzle on your shelf.
  • Extend the theme of apples into your math area with this fun apple counting work!
  • From fall scooping to Leaves Memory Game, your little students will have their hands full.
